The outcome of my efforts to date is a delicious range of chocolate-flavoured macarons, described by some who have been so kind as to sample them as “the best ever tasted”. The macarons are brightly coloured and filled with chocolate ganache. The colours reflect the flavours, so for example, orange is orange and almond chocolate, green is mint chocolate, red is chilli chocolate, yellow is chocolate caramel, beige is mocha and chocolate brown is dark chocolate. I have also made a bright blue macaron filled with white chocolate ganache and today have been experimenting with Earl Grey macarons filled with white chocolate and honey ganache, which look promising. These needs to mature in the fridge for 24 to 36 hours so unfortunately we will have to wait until tomorrow evening before we can sample them. I will be back soon with the tasting panel’s verdict and some photos of these delightful delicacies.
